The Flatsmasters Redfish Series, Southwest Florida’s premier redfish tournament, will begin its 11th season March 10. These tournaments, based out of the Laishley Crab House (100 E. Retta Esplanade, Punta Gorda) are the most popular inshore series in Florida. In 2011, more than 85 different teams competed in the Charlotte Harbor Redfish Series events.

For 2012, once again Maverick Boats, Yamaha Outboards, and Ingman Marine will provide the championship prize: A 21-foot Cobia bay boat with an F150 Yamaha outboard engine valued at $30,000. Thanks to new Redfish Series sponsors Bob’s Machine Shop and Power Pole, the championship boat will be equipped with a jack plate and Power Pole for the winners.
