Indians sharp as spring practice begins

With spring practice having kicked off last week, the Venice High football team finds itself breaking in a new starting quarterback again. But head coach John Peacock believes the future of his team is much brighter now than it was at this time a year ago.

“We’re way ahead of the game,” Peacock said. “Most of our offense is in on day four here. We’ve had a great offseason, the best offseason I’ve been around as far as the commitment level, and the gains we’ve made in the weight room have been unbelievable. So we feel real good about what’s going on right now.”
