Nancy L. Albert, 58, of Venice, Fla., formerly of Palm Desert, Calif., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 at Venice Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Banning, Calif. and lived in Palm Desert until relocating to Deerfield Beach, Fla. in 1984. In 1986 she moved to the Cleveland, Ohio area where she lived for 6 years and had her first of 2 children. In 1993 the family came to Venice, Fla. which was to become their permanent home. After the birth of her second child, Nancy attended school to obtain her Teacher’s Aide certificate.

Nancy was employed as a Teacher’s Aide for the Sarasota County School District and also for Grace United Methodist Church in Venice, Fla.. She also worked part-time for the Venice Gondolier Sun.

She enjoyed reading and cooking and loved spending time doing things for her family while raising her two sons.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Lee of Venice, Fla.; sons Brandon of Orlando, Fla. and Bryan of Venice, Fla.; her mother, Beverly Emery Taylor; sisters Pam Sweat and Robin McCormick; and her dog, Cookie. She was predeceased by her father, Vern Emery.

Services: Services will be private. Contributions: In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to The Humane Society Of Sarasota County.
