Nancylee Underwood, of Nokomis, departed peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer, Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, W. Allen Underwood; son, Keven Aland (Jennifer); daughter, Renee Aland; brother, Pete Fenderson (Sherry); and sisters, Susan Leister (Tim) and Lorraine Griffen (Jeff). She treasured spending time with her three grandchildren she loved so dearly, Jacob, Kaitlyn and Zoey. She will be dearly missed by her nephew, Michael Yager; and nieces, Lori Beth Clark, Aimee Sue Duzs and Keri Dotson. Her strong faith in our Lord, her kindness and her unconditional love for others were an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her inner strength, courage, determination, humor, caring spirit and love of life, which are now being shared in heaven.

Nancylee, rest in peace in the arms of Jesus.

Services: A gathering to celebrate Nancylee’s life will be announced at a later date. Ewing Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Contribution: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends remember the people in their lives who mean the most and spend time with them.
