Sometimes events don’t unfold exactly the way one pictures them. That’s certainly the case with recent activities concerning the historic Venice Circus Arena.
The Venice City Council’s majority decision to strip it down to a bare bones steel framework and concrete foundation may actually be a positive turn of events to those naysayers who saw it as nothing more than a blight. While they might prefer to see it go entirely on the scrap heap, this halfway measure will buy precious time for the foundation pledged to raise redevelopment funds to bring back this entertainment venue.
