We join the foster parents, children and children’s advocates who cheered the signing of a bill recently that will give foster families more freedom to act like other families in Florida.
The bill — sponsored in the Senate by Sen. Nancy Detert, R-Venice, and the House by Rep. Ben Albritton, R-Wauchula, and signed into law by Gov. Rick Scott — removes some of the bureaucratic hassles foster kids must now endure in their day-to-day lives.
