Artist to perform at Pineapple Drop

L. Levine will perform five songs as part of the New Year’s Eve event in Sarasota Monday night.
NORTH PORT — Two years ago, Larry Levine was out of work, so he took a temp job decorating Sarasota for the New Year’s holiday, stringing up lights on trees. He finished just in time to watch as the stage was being set up for the 2010 Pineapple Drop New Year’s Eve celebration.
This year, Levine — using his stage name, L. Levine — will perform five songs on that same stage as part of the New Year’s Eve event.
