PORT CHARLOTTE — In the Tampa Bay’s biggest offseason move, James Shields and Wade Davis were dealt to the Royals in exchange for a group of prospects that included heralded outfielder Wil Myers.

One piece in that deal was starting pitcher Jake Odorizzi, who made two starts for Kansas City last year and has an opportunity to make a major league impact this season.
