PUNTA GORDA — A verbal altercation Sunday night at a local bar re­sulted in a woman stabbing a man and sending him to the hospital, according to the Punta Gorda Police Department.

Adriana Catherine Innes, 41, 1600 block of Spruce Pine Court, Punta Gorda, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after she allegedly stabbed a man with whom she shares an apartment, in the hand with a kitchen knife.
