PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a local man in the theft of a purse from a car after someone viewed surveillance photos of the suspect on the Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page.

Arrested was Tony Curtus Goforth, 51, of the 3500 block of Beacon Drive, on charges of grand theft, burglary of a conveyance and violation of probation. He was jailed without bond.
