Dorthey J. Stacey, 86, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, in Port Charlotte.

She was born Nov. 16, 1926, in Toledo, Ohio, to Walter and Mary Hellenkamp.

A retired school bus driver, Dorthey moved from her native Toledo to Port Charlotte in 1993, and was a member of The Salvation Army Port Charlotte Corps. She will be remembered dearly by all who loved and knew her, and special thanks to Dave and Liz Rihmer.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Forde Stacey; sons, Lynn (Candace) Stacey of Port Charlotte, and Patrick (Susan) Stacey of Horton, Mich.; six grandchildren, Scott, Bryan, Keegan, Kalyn, Taylor and Kylie; and six great-grandchildren, Christopher, Alexander, Zachary, Gabriel, Benjamin and Caleb.

A private committal will be held today at Restlawn Memorial Gardens cemetery in Port Charlotte. Friends may visit online at www.robersonfh.com to extend condolences to the family and sign the memory book.
