Pauline B. Hamilton

Pauline B. Hamilton, 80, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Tidewell Hospice of Port Charlotte.

She was born July 25, 1932, in Wauchula, Fla.

Pauline lived most of her life in Florida, moving to Port Charlotte in 1998. She was a retired hospital nurse, and a U.S. Marine Corps Reserve veteran of the Korean War. Member of the Victory Baptist Church of Port Charlotte.

She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Donna (James) Peacock-Maines of Port Charlotte, Sherann Meissner of Arcadia, Fla., Mary Jane (Scott) Franks of Essex, Iowa, Charlene (Thomas) Hagadone of Cohocton, N.Y., Pauline (Tino) Ronquillo of Morgan City, La., and Alicia (Chuc) Viet-Vu of Amelia, La.; son, William W. (Sue) Hamilton of Port Charlotte; 46 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Cletis Vernon Hamilton, passed away in 1988.

Funeral services and visitation were held 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Roberson Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel. Committal services and interment will be held 2 p.m. today Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Sarasota National Cemetery of Sarasota, Fla.
