Marian B. Myers

Marian B. Myers, 81, of Milton, Pa., passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte, Fla.

She was born in Lancaster, Pa., and she was the daughter of Robert and Irene (nee Shertzer) Barr.

Marian was the wife of Reuben D. Myers, who passed away in April 1998. She was a member of Community Mennonite Fellowship Church of Milton. Marian’s interests included the love of her cat, Cleo, and dog, Pug; baking; reading; plants and flowers; knitting hats, scarves, sweaters and mittens for children overseas; playing games; visiting friends; love of the beach; and spending winters in Florida. She had a lifelong passion for her family, and she loved attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events.

Marian is survived by her daughter, Judy (Kenneth) Leaman of Willow Street, Pa.; son, Dale (Trish) Myers of Troupsburg, N.Y.; son, Jeffrey (Judy) Myers of South Williamsport, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Community Mennonite Fellowship Church, 2985 Broadway Road, Milton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to her memorial service that will follow at 11 a.m. at the church, with the Rev. David Martino officiating. Interment will be private at Beaver Run Mennonite Cemetery of rural Turbotville, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Marian’s memory to Sunnybreeze Christian Fellowship, c/o Sharon Schrock, 11302 S.W. Orange Ave., Arcadia, FL 34269.

Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Home, Turbotville.
