What is a volunteer? According to the American Heritage Dictionary, a volunteer is “a person who offers to perform a service of one’s own free will … to do charitable or helpful work without pay.”
Here at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County, we owe our existence to volunteers, from the early volunteers in 1961 who envisioned a facility that would serve our community to the volunteers of today, who assist in every area of the Cultural Center.
