In April 1965, I committed my life to Jesus Christ, accepting Him as my Savior. When it came to defeating the power of sin, I thought my conversion would be a cure-all to end all. I soon began to realize there is more to overcoming sin’s power than making Jesus your Savior. You also must make Him the Lord of your life.
A contrast to that objective is located in Mark 3:20-22, in the paragraph just after Jesus had appointed 12 apostles. He entered a house, and a crowd gathered, so that He and His disciples were not even able to eat. When His family heard about this, they went to take charge of Him, for they said, “He is out of His mind.”
