“So be no longer children, tossed like ships to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, the prey of cunning and cleverness of unscrupulous men, in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead. (Ephesians 4:14)”
In verse 17, it talks about not living as heathens do, in their perverseness (in folly, vanity and emptiness of their souls and the futility) of their minds. Verse 18 says, “Their moral understanding is darkened and their reasoning is beclouded. They are alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is deep-seated in them to their hardness of their hearts.
