The Gregg’s Automotive building still looks a lot like the original 1949 Sinclair gas station, except for the modern windows and more art deco exterior.

Gregg Marrapodi, owner of Gregg’s Automotive on the corner of East Olympia and U.S. 41 north, threw a rousing day-long anniversary and customer appreciation party last week to celebrate his 20th year in business at that location. It was attended by hundreds of his loyal customers and the many friends he has made in his time here.

Anyone who can stay open that long through all the economic ups and downs is obviously doing something right. His success is easy enough to figure out if you take the time to read the signs.
