Book buffs Cathy Graham and Serena Wyckoff were actively engaged in buying and selling used books online and at antique malls for years, but something was missing. They didn’t like the anonymity and thought a cozy little bookstore where they could interact with customers might be just the ticket. They leased a storefront at 1205 Elizabeth St., Suite A, just a couple of doors away from the Punta Gorda Beef ‘O’Brady’s in the Sunstate Commerce Center, and opened Sept. 29 after an extensive remodeling of the space.

Little it isn’t, but Graham and Wyckoff are pleased with everything about the store they named Copperfish Books & Gifts, especially the chance for dialogue with customers.
