Keeping car history alive in Punta Gorda

Edward Levasseur’s 1954 MGTF 1500 was just one of the antique cars lined up at The Galleria Mall on Feb. 10. Levasseur has had this car since 1970, when he was in the ninth-grade.

The Galleria Mall, 5260 Duncan Road in Punta Gorda, was the host of the Veteran Motor Car Club of America — Southwest Florida Region’s Feb. 10 car show. Each of the car owners, mostly from the Punta Gorda area, have a story to tell about their cars, and they were happy to share them.
