TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Tampa police say a 24-year-old woman was struck by a stray bullet after the Gasparilla Knight Parade.

According to authorities, a large crowd gathered in Tampa’s historic Ybor City neighborhood Saturday night after the festival. That’s when two groups got into a confrontation and a gun was fired.

Investigators say Camile Prince was struck in the back of the upper left thigh. They do not believe she was the target of the shooting.

Prince was taken to Tampa General Hospital. Her injury is not considered life threatening.

The shooter has not been identified or arrested by police.

The knight parade is part of the annual Gasparilla Pirate Festival, which celebrates the legend of a Spanish pirate and is known for its Mardi Gras-style atmosphere.
