“Mirror, Mirror” by Ron Sanders won the Judge’s Figure Award, receiving $500, sponsored by Life Drawing Studio. Pictured both in the painting and live with the artist are Helen Gerro and model Amber McKinley.The award came as part of the exhibition Faces & Figures at the Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda. The exhibit will hang until March 8.

Irving Rudley’s painting “The Instructor” won the Judge’s Award of $500, sponsored by Edison State College Charlotte Campus. His inspiration came from Tom Nash, an art workshop instructor that Rudley once had.

There was an awards reception Thursday evening for the exhibition Faces & Figures at the Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda. The exhibit, which will hang until March 8, was juried by Allan R. Banks.
