ENGLEWOOD — For residents who had to make the long drive to Port Charlotte to visit the county health clinic, the wait is almost over thanks to a new, full-time permanent nurse practitioner in the Englewood clinic.

Charlotte County commissioners and Department of Health officials invite the public to celebrate the grand reopening Monday of the Charlotte County Health Department’s clinic at 6868 San Casa Drive, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
