The Charlotte County Sheriff's Major Crimes Unit made a promise to Tara Sidarovich after they found her remains off Burnt Store Road in 2002: "We won't forget." Detectives left this note with flowers at the Burnt Store Road site more than 10 years ago. They kept their promise, arresting David McMannis last month and Phillip Bar on Wednesday. Both face first-degree murder charges.
