The golden anniversary is a milestone to uphold in today’s society, as those couples who make it to their 50th wedding anniversary seem to be few and far between — let alone in the same family, in the same year and just two months apart.

But that’s what makes sisters Mary Jane Roach and Kathryn Mooney special.
