It is a hot day at the Punta Gorda History Park’s Sunday Farmers Market, but an occasional breeze and the big trees that shade the booths offer a reprieve to shoppers.
Among the items up for sale each week are fruit and vegetable stands, freshly made snacks and baked goods, aromatherapy items, natural products for pets, plants, clothing and various novelties.
