Military moms stay strong

NORTH PORT — Today for Mother’s Day, children around the country will pick up the phone to call their mothers and grandmothers. Some will have sent cards or gifts. Others will take mom out for a good meal.

But two local Navy moms will spend the day missing their sons, both of whom are away from home while serving their country.
