Child injured in fall from car
PORT CHARLOTTE — A 3-year-old boy suffered minor injuries Thursday afternoon when he unbuckled his seat belt and fell out of a moving car onto Peachland Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The boy was in the backseat of a Pontiac Vibe traveling northbound on Forrest Nelson Boulevard when the 38-year-old female driver made a left turn onto Peachland around 4:18 p.m., a report stated. As the vehicle was turning, the boy unbuckled himself and opened the rear passenger door, falling onto the roadway.
