Marilyn McCarthy was the top Port Charlotte finisher during the Naples Daily News Half Marathon in January.

In her third time running the race, the 49-year-old completed it in 1 hour, 52 minutes. She placed 15th among 123 in the women’s 45-49 age bracket, the oldest to finish that high, despite a slower time than she had last year.
