CAPE CORAL — Port Charlotte High School survived a tough third quarter Wednesday night to beat Ida Baker 59-50.

Ida Baker (8-4) scored 23 of its 50 points in the quarter as the Bulldogs erased Port Charlotte’s nine-point halftime cushion. Coming out of the locker room with a swarming defense, Baker held a pair of narrow leads in the quarter before the Pirates (11-3) regained control.
