In his first year of collegiate swimming, Addison Cates
already has a conference championship.

The Charlotte High School graduate helped the Nova Southeastern University men capture the Sunshine State Conference title, their second consecutive. Cates won the 1,650-yard freestyle in 15 minutes, 38.34 seconds, setting a conference record.
