NORTH PORT — North Port police arrested a local woman Monday evening after she allegedly threw a cabinet at another woman’s car.

According to an NPPD report, officers responded to the 3400 block of Chamberlain Boulevard shortly after 7 p.m., when a man called to report a woman throwing debris in the roadway. When they arrived, they met with Shaakira Najieb, 24, of the 1700 block of Nicolett Avenue, who seemed very agitated by their presence, the report states. When officers spoke with her, Najieb allegedly responded, “Either you’re going to take me to jail or let me go,” and said she “wanted to go to the club and get her chill on.” When police asked to see her ID, she threw her bag in their direction so it landed a few feet away. The report states officers asked Najieb to get her ID out of her bag for them.
