Report: Man passes fake
$50 in front of deputy
PORT CHARLOTTE — A man allegedly passed a forged $50 bill while standing next to a deputy in a convenience store, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office. Ryan Anthony Signore, 25, of the 2300 block of Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte, was charged with fraud in connection with the incident.
According to a report, Signore attempted to buy a pack of cigarettes and an iced tea with a poor-quality fake $50 bill Sunday at the Rainbow Food Market in the 2300 block of Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte. When the clerk refused to accept the money, a deputy standing inside the store took notice and asked Signore for the bill.
