Report: Salvation Army donations stolen for garage sale

PORT CHARLOTTE — A local man allegedly pulled his truck up to a Salvation Army donation center and took several items he planned to sell at a garage sale, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.

Michael Joseph Guggino, 51, of the 2200 block of Hayworth Street, is charged with grand theft in the crime, in which it was reported he took a television, boxes and tables from The Salvation Army, located on the 2100 block of Loveland Boulevard, Port Charlotte.
