Report: Former gunshot victim charged in fake ID scam
ENGLEWOOD — A Deep Creek man was accused Monday of attempting to cash a tax return check with a fake driver’s license. Deputies recognized him as the same man who was dropped off at a local hospital Feb. 4 with a gunshot wound, according to a report.
Terrance Lamont Lewis, 22, of the 3000 block of Maranon Way, Deep Creek, was charged with uttering a forged instrument, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a forged driver’s license, possession of a firearm with an altered or removed serial number and violation of probation.
