North Port man charged with shooting into home
PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office detectives have arrested a North Port man in connection with a drive-by shooting into a Port Charlotte home.
According to CCSO spokesman Bob Carpenter, authorities received a call at 12:36 a.m. Tuesday after six shots struck a home in the 12600 block of Chancellor Blvd., Port Charlotte. There were four people inside the house, but no one was injured, officials said. A dark-colored pickup was seen driving by the house at the time.
