Eldon E. Sundberg

Eldon E. Sundberg, 85, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 14, 1927, in Detroit, Mich., to Myrtle (nee Julitz) and Eric Sundberg.

A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and a retired Executive Engineer for Ford Motor Company, Eldon and his beloved wife of 62 years, Janet Marie (nee Linenfelser), moved to Charlotte County, Fla., in 1993, from Bloomfield, Mich. He was a faithful member of San Antonio Catholic Church in Port Charlotte, Fla.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jane; sons, Eldon, James and Daniel Sundberg; daughters, Carol Sundberg and Anne Piche; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Carl R. Sundberg; and numerous extended family members. Eldon was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and Eric.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at San Antonio Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. A private committal will be held at a later date. Friends may visit online at www.robersonfh.com to extend condolences to the family and sign the memory book.

Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home Punta Gorda Chapel.
