Bethel Baker Hartt
Bethel “Beth” Baker Hartt, 82, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Tidewell Hospice of Port Charlotte, Fla.
She was born in Jackson County, Ala., outside Huntsville, Ala., and was the daughter of Peter Baker and Delia Hopkins Baker.
Beth started Beth’s Beauty Salon in Grove City, Fla., in June 1971, and retired in 1995. She was of the Assembly of God faith. She loved life and all who were around her. Beth was a rock and trusted in the Lord with all her heart.
She leaves behind her husband David, who met her June 18, 1976; brother, Peter (Betty) Baker of Scottsville, Ala.; daughters, Doris (Cliff) Pippin, Judy (Danny) Matter, Pat Hall and Dolly (Randy) Hopkins; eight grandchildren, Dawn Fulmer Rivera, Dean Fulmer, Elizabeth (Dwayne) Dunlaby, Darrell Hall, Darcy Hopkins, Deseree Hopkins, Ross Hopkins and Dena Matter; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon until services at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte.
