Joseph “Joe” McMurray, 61, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012.

He was born April 16, 1951, in Lynn, Mass.

Joe was a registered nurse, and was also a medic in the U.S. Air Force. He had a great love of animals.

Joseph is deeply missed by his mother, Concetta “Connie” McMurray; sister, Lori Reynolds, both of Punta Gorda, Fla.; nieces, Nicole and Amanda; and nephew, Keith. He was preceded in death by his partner, Kenneth Sewall; father, Jack McMurray; and grandmother, Rose Cennami.

Donations can be made in Joe’s name to Animal Welfare League Inc., 3519 Drance St., Port Charlotte, FL 33980.

Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte.
