Margaret A. Phillips, 86, of New Hartford, NY passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Sequoia Cottage of Sitrin Health Care Center.

Margaret was born on November 18, 1925 in Lewiston, IL, the daughter of Ralph and Lovina (Raby) Crabtree. On December 20, 1946 she married Donald G. Phillips in Champaign, IL. Mr. Phillips passed away May 6, 2012. Margaret was employed as Personnel Director at Meyers Dept. Store and at Wysong & Miles in Greensboro, North Carolina. She also worked as an admissions clerk in the ER at Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Margaret was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid reader and also loved to fly airplanes and travel with her husband, Donald.

Surviving Margaret are her daughter and son-in-law, Annette Phillips and Thomas D. Sears, New Hartford; son and daughter-in-law, Richard P. and Lelis Lalley, Las Vegas; grandchildren, Cassandra Phillips-Sears, Courtney Phillips-Sears and her husband, Jan Debognies, and Christopher, Jeffrey and Troy Lalley. She was predeceased by a brother, Milton Crabtree.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon, IL.
