Bobby Ray Grant “Buz” Sawyer, 77, went home to be with the Lord and join his beloved Rita Jeanne Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012.

He grew up in Tarboro, N.C. Bobby and Rita, after traveling the world through a career at United Airlines, lived their retirement years in Port Charlotte, Fla., where Bobby, known as Buz, enjoyed working at the Port Charlotte Golf Club. They were residents of Heritage Oak Park.

Bobby is survived by his son and best buddy, Gary Curtis Sawyer of Tampa, Fla.; daughter, Sheryl Ann (nee Sawyer) White of Fort Mill, S.C.; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Michelle White.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at Davis Islands Garden Club in Tampa. Friends may visit online at www.robersonfh.com to sign the memory book and extend condolences to the family.
