Annie E. Bonnell, 85, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at her residence in Port Charlotte.

She was born Sept. 5, 1926, in Windsor, Canada.

Annie moved to Detroit, Mich., in 1943, and again to Port Charlotte in 1989. She worked at Arnold Home for the aged in Detroit for 26 years as assistant director of administration and office manager for Dr. Walters in Southfield, Mich., for 10 years. Annie was the past president of American Business Woman’s Association from 1987 until 1988, in Pontiac, Mich. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be missed but not forgotten.

Annie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years of marriage, Raymond Bonnell of Port Charlotte; son, Raymond J. Bonnell of Port Charlotte; three grandchildren, James Raymond, Nicole Ann and Tammy Lynn Bonnell; and three great-grandchildren, Amber Llene Bonnell, Kailee Mitchell, and Kip Mitchell.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, until the start of Funeral Service at 1 p.m., at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. The Rev. Scott Smallwood will officiate. Committal and interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to TideWell Hospice, Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
