Diana P. Lombardo
Diana P. Lombardo, of Port Charlotte, Fla., died Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at home.
Born in Erlangen, Germany, March 27, 1953, to Dominick and Helga Terenzi, who moved to Port Charlotte in 1961.
She was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. We will always remember her as beautiful, loyal, selfless, and disciplined. There was something about her smile and energy that made her so special to so many. Diana had a passion for travel and ancient history. She was the family rock, the glue that held everyone together. Family holidays will always be cherished because she enjoyed entertaining and expressed her love through her cooking. Her personality was as vibrant as the paintings that still hang on the walls. There is no denying Diane’s all-knowing love for flowers. She has planted a garden in each and every one of us that will continue to flourish and bloom. Diana graduated from Charlotte High School in 1971 to become a cosmetologist, then she and Dennis opened their own successful business, Lombardo Tile. Her creative flair and unique sense of design will live on for many local residents for years to come. You will always be in our hearts and will be missed until we meet again... Ich liebe dich.
Diana is survived by her husband of 35 years, Dennis Lombardo of Port Charlotte; two daughters, Gina Lombardo (Michael) Paz, Nikki Lombardo (Matthew) Patterson; two grandchildren, Lucia and Gabriela Paz; three sisters, Susan Brownie, Vicki Leonard, Ramona Derr; and several nieces and nephews.
