John F. Boldt
John F. Boldt, 72, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012.
He was born Sept. 28, 1939, to John and Marvel (nee Hambly) Boldt in Detriot, Mich.
John graduated from Miami Military School, and from there he joined the U.S. Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1966 as a LTJG with BeachMasters Unit 2. John worked as a Health Inspector for the State of Florida and Charlotte County, Fla. He was a member of several clubs: American Legion Post 110, Elks Lodge 2763, Moose Lodge 2121, VFW 10097 and Eagles 3296.
John is survived by his son, Larry K. (Janie) Boldt of Port Charlotte, Fla.; daughter, Terri L. (David) Levitan of Davie, Fla.; grandchildren, Nikki, Steven and Miles; and two great-grandchildren, Rylee and Kyla.
A Graveside Service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Fla.
