I am a Canadian. I have received some of my education in the U.S. and have interacted with many U.S. colleagues over many years in international projects. Many of my countrymen are amazed at the hostility in the U.S. debate about a national health care system, especially by those who would benefit the most — the lower and middle economic classes.
