Every home seems to have one; that place where the odds and ends of our daily activities reach their final resting place. It is a receptacle for things that don’t seem to fit anywhere else. It is called the junk drawer.
The junk drawer has a tendency to collect more and more things, doesn’t it? From used birthday candles to extension cords, bread ties to stray flashlight batteries, corn on the cob skewers to the crescent wrench, this drawer collects them all. It contains an assortment of useful and useless articles. When we finally decide to clean out this drawer, we eliminate some of those things that are no longer needed and toss them in the trash.
