CCSO: Robbery suspect turns in self
ROGERS
PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit detectives announced that Eli Cummins Rogers, 40, 20318 Banner Avenue, Port Charlotte, turned himself in at the County Jail Friday in connection with the robbery of C1 Bank in Port Charlotte that occurred last Tuesday.
Rogers had shaved his head following the bank robbery. The CCSO issued very clear C1 Bank surveillance photos of the robber to the media and received numerous tips on his identity. Friday morning, MCU detectives released Rogers’ name to the public after a warrant for bank robbery had been issued. Rogers remains in the Charlotte County Jail without bond.
