Samaritans group closes amid financial woes

PUNTA GORDA — A couple-dozen residents struggling to makes end meet arrived outside the Good Samaritans office Wednesday, expecting a semi truck to pull up with fresh produce.
Instead, they found a note on the door indicating the Good Samaritans organization was “closed.”
