DEEP CREEK — When the fire alarms went off and a caravan of firetrucks arrived at the Heritage Lake Park condominium complex Wednesday morning, residents weren’t miffed to have their morning coffee interrupted — instead, they were extremely appreciative.

“It’s nice to see things operate the way they should,” said Don Boyce, who lives in the complex. “The alarms went off, the firetrucks showed up and firefighters fixed the problem.”
