MURDOCK — Charlotte County is gearing up to fight its third legal battle with Rotonda Villas property owners, even as it asks a judge to dismiss lawsuit No. 2.

“It’s really unfortunate that we have to hire an attorney (for) what I consider a frivolous situation,” Commissioner Tricia Duffy said Tuesday after the commission voted unanimously to hire outside attorneys to represent the county. “We really have no choice.”
