PORT CHARLOTTE — Tampa Bay announced it optioned three more players Tuesday, sending pitchers Chris Archer, Jake Odorizzi and Alex Torres to Triple-A Durham.

For Archer, the decision was especially tough to take after an extended stint in the majors last season. In 29 1⁄3 innings that included four starts in his six appearances, he produced a 4.60 ERA and 36 strikeouts.
